If Humans Vanished tommorow...what would be left for our lasting legacy?
5-10 years, the domestic pets have become wild, and dogs hunt in packs like the Wolf.
Coastal town houses have been weathered away by salt errosion (even if made of stone)
Vines have invaded major cities and small scale vertical ecosystems are in infancy stage
Rust has exposed wood to the elements, paint has been weathered away exposing motor viechals to the Elements.
10-20 years, Most houses with Wooden components have collapsed
Subway systems are filling with water and acting as aquaducts under major cities
20-50 years The worlds Dams around the world begin to break. Flooding large areas of the landscape.
75 years Motor Viechals have been rusted away to skelletal levels
The Worlds Suspension Bridges begin to collapse due to the errosian of supports. No more Golden Gate, and No more Brooklyn
100 years, Vaults containing books and paper materials have rotted away, Libraries are full of dust, moth eaten and corrupted books, Film stripping has been warped due to heat and moisture.
150 years, the subway systems that have been full of water are corroded, and begin to cave, major parts of the worlds cities collapse into the subway systems beneith
The Vertical Ecosystems are now matured, whole systems equal to those of the rainforrest have taken hold in the cities scyscrapers and metalic buildings, feasting on the wooden and stone ones. Cats are considered top of the food chain :laugh: (they base this on what happened after the collapse of the Roman Empire...the colliseum and Catacombs are...full of cats, Michelles worst nightmare.. :scared0011: )
The life span of CD and DVD media has come to an end. due to exposure to the elements.
200 Years The Oceans and Rainforrests have more or less recovered :w00t: due to lack of fishing and felling. but the Bird Population is lower, no feeding of the pigeons, so they've all starved, no more rubbish in the landfill site, no more open farming with seeds, or tilling which brings up the food for birds. Only the seabirds are doing well thriving on the oceans repopulated fish supply
the steel buildings of major cities are in danger of collapse, railway bridges, and monuments of iron and steel like those in Paris, and scattered across England and Canada are collapsing. The Skyscrapers of main cities are now leaning like Pisa due to foundations and shifts in the watertable and subsidence, this change has been brought about naturally due to no maintainance, but also brought about due to the new ecosytems, trees need roots and they can smash through concreate, they suck the moisture from under the foundations and change the chemistry of the soil, this effects the foundations and can bring down the structures if they arent held up by the vines and trees themselves. please note, this is distruction of the cities, it is categorically not the destruction of the ecosytems within them, they simply spill out and grow around the ruins or the ground onto which they've landed. (the cats fight on Michelle :laugh: )

Concreate in the ancient world has less water and is more dense then modern. Plus the modern Concreate structures hide a metalic frame which will rust WITHIN the concreate, the reinforced Concreate structures which have been cracking for a while now, come down
after about 500 years there is very little left...no legacy :frantics:
If Human life died out this year, there could be nothing left of our legacy by 2309AD, compared to more then 2K from the ancients who wrote on tablets and carved in stone hidden away from the elements in a stable climate. :unsure-1: Survivors of the dissapearance of man, include, Mount Rushmore, The Pyramids of Giza, and possibly earthquake permitting, The Hoover Dam might still be intact for thousands of years...of course the problem with all is that these things would be burried in decay from folliage, or burried by the shifting sands of the desert...apart from Mount Rushmore...thats probably still exposed LMAO...the one possible permanent structure is the faces of a few United States Presidents carved into the side of a Mountain!
