Saw this last night. It's good, but not what I expected. It seems like one of those movies where the best parts were shown in the previews. I expected it to be more of an action movie, but it was mostly drama.

Good movie, plot was good overall, just wasn't what I expected after watching the previews. My advice: Wait to rent the DVD.

Anybody else feel the same?

I was planning to go see this tomorrow but now I'm not so sure. I hate being disappointed in movies so we may not chance it.

I watched it last weekend & absolutely loved it. I agree with dawg: it's more of a drama than an action flick, but it one of the better dramas of the year, IMO. The acting was superb, even Affleck didn't fleck things up too much, the cinematography was great & the ending was solid. I definitely recommend it to anyone & everyone.

I just think I came into the movie with elevated expectations. The movie itself was awesome, no doubt. I just expected action, not drama. Nonetheless, great movie and worth the watch. Guess as long as one comes prepared to expect drama, it shouldn't be as much of a let down.

Just watched this over in England -thought the movie was incredible.

It was great drama and seemed gritty and real. Like at times Affleck and the girl looked ugly at times. It was intense and gripping.

really enjoyed it and would recommend to all although its probably to rent for you guys.

Without giving any spoilers, what's it about?

I cant remember off hand...I just remember that I usually hate any film with Ben Afleck in it...so I went to see how bad it was...and I came out without being able to voice any criticism.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.

It was way too "emotional". Affleck is kind of a sissy.

One of the portions of Boston called Charlestwon (aka The Town) produces the most bank/armored car robbers, per capita, than anywhere else in the US. The movie is about 1 such gang, led by Ben Affleck & Jeremy _____ (dude from the Hurtlocker).
