i live in SC and love watching the news surrounding this guy
won with 60% the votes and noone has seen a sign for him, a meeting with him, he never even responded to any of the political invitations in SC
13 year veteran honorably/involunatrily discharged (he couldnt maintain his weight the local news said earlier)
payed the $10400 fee to run while on unemployment living with his parents
felony charges against him, where he has a public defender representing him
tons of local stuff on him on TV right now, plus national news is finally noticing him now:laugh:

Something's fishy!
At first I thought he was Tracy McGrady
Seriously though, there is something up with this. I think he is definitely a plant.
He is God's gift to the Republicans! I love it!
Did you guys catch this?

they where asking peoples opinion on how he got the votes to win
most popular answers where
1. first on the ballot
2. last name is a common last name of many african americans in SC and they identified with him (because of his name)
3. people thought he was Al Green the soulsinger
4. i laughed when i heard this one *drum roll* Bush did it
they asked him to step down and his response was "No (30sec pause) the people spoke, and the rest of the democrat party needs to get behind me"
anything at all relating to his felony case is no comment, someone asked yesterday what he would where to court and it was no comment
his main points on
education- it needs fixed
justice system- we need more justice in the justice system
asked about gun control- he believes in the constitution
i love watching the guy myself, his answers never change and if he doesnt know about the issue then he says "il have to look more into that because i currently dont know enough about it to answer", that 1 up on most politicians

update on Greene
http://www.thesunnews.com/2010/06/17/1539435/greene-will-be-democrats-us-senate.html
to sum it up, the meeting was today to decide what to do with Alvin Greene and the democrat party
on one side Vic Rawl (Greene opponent) with lawyers, voter analysist, computer consultants to say how the machines are coruptable, some supporters and of course Vic Rawl
on the other side...... Alvin Greene didnt show up
after much debate and hearing from experts tell theories on how Greene might of won, and why a revote or Rawl should be appointed winner......
63 commitee members vote and the results 33 to 7
Alvin Greene wins and is now officially supported by the Democrat party :happydancing:
Alvin Greene didnt show up
