Betty White is now the last Golden Girl standing, and she's doing awesome!

She was great on The Golden Girls and, before that, Maude.

RIP Rue, my sympathy to her family.

I've always liked Betty White and I'm glad she's getting the work but I have to admit I was mortified by her schtick on SNL. :ashamed: We both thought she must have gotten into the mushrooms backstage.

Are you thinking of Bea Arthur as Maude, or was Rue M. on Maude too--if so, I don't remember her on there. :unsure-1:

Everyone of those ladies on Golden Girls was great. My mom loved that show and she still watches the reruns. Her favorite was "Sophia" (Estelle Getty).

Fourth, if you count Art Linkletter who died right before Gary Coleman. That means there might be "two" more to come. You know how it comes in "three's".

Boy, there dropping like flies.

She played the next-door neighbor, Bonnie. Her role was quite the opposite of her character on the Golden Girls; rather than the bombshell she played a demure and rather dense doctor's wife.

Nah, she's always been a dirty little lady. I watched a biography on her after she did the SNL show and they talked about it all and showed how she used to push the envelope all the time when she was younger.
