Sad. So many child stars live a wretched adult life, always chasing the fame and popularity of their youth.
RIP Gary and my condolences to his family.

It's amazing he lived as long as he did with the health problems he had. He really should have died many years ago. I hope he found peace and love in his life before he passed.

Another irony is this quote:
“I want to escape that legacy of Arnold Jackson,” he told The New York Times during his gubernatorial run. “I’m someone more. It would be nice if the world thought of me as something more.”
And yet the very article that this quote appears in is titled: `DIFF’RENT STROKES’ STAR GARY COLEMAN DIES
He couldn't even escape the legacy of Arnold Jackson in death.

It's sad but true.
Todd Bridges, who played Willis, actually wrote a book called "Killing Willis" where he talks about his transgressions and how much he struggled to create a public image outside of Willis Jackson.

I'm reading Killing Willis now :). And the rest of you...no picking on short guy now he's dead!
Gary Coleman is from my home town, Zion, Illinois, it's about 50 miles north of Chicago and borders Wisconsin and Lake Michigan. His parents still live there.
Anyways, some crazy circumstances surrounding his death are starting to pop up about his ex-wife pulling the plug...

That's what's really sad, I don't think he did.
I heard his "parents" (the ones who stole all his money ) are trying to get his body to bury. Todd Bridges said Gary wouldn't want that at all! I hope they don't get it and Gary's wishes, whatever they were, are followed. He deserves that much in death!
he lived a short life

yeah, this was definitely sad news ... everyone talked about how he was such a grump as an adult and whatever, but if your parents spent your 24 million dollars and you had to work as a security guard, i am sure you'd be pissed too ....
first tattoo, then arnold ... who is next ... webster or mini-me ... very sad indeed ...
