Ben, those stitches are beautiful. Whoever did them did a great job. It's going to be very achy and itchy soon. Are you going to pull them out yourself or go back to the doc to get it done?

I say take out your own stiches... I used my Leatherman to take mine out on Sunday night.... they were starting to get on my nerves..

That's hard core right there. I don't have any gunpowder, but I do have a welding torch. Gets the job done but I think the scarring is worse.

I'm supposed to make an appointment to get them taken out next week. The doc was thinking of super-gluing it, but because it's in an area that's going to flex a lot, she figured it'd be better to stitch it up.

They usually only use dissolvable stitches on ligatures inside the body, so they aren't really common with superficial closures, like ben's.

Yeah, I busted him for that. I don't think he even cleaned them off first. He should have held them over a flame or something for effect. Maybe he did and *that* is what set off the fire alarm......

I wanted to take them out last Sat. at the VIP meet and greet but didn't want to walk to my car for my kit. Next time, I'm so removing the stitches.

If things were jumbled slightly differently, I probably would have grabbed nail clippers or even the knife that did the original damage instead!
