I'm too close to the water. No way is it snowing on me.I plan my moves carefully  I just got an email from a boyfriend from 11 years ago and he lives just outside of DC.The whole email was bitching about the snow.I'm thinking "well move then"

I'm between D.C. and Richmond and have at least a foot of snow on the ground and it's still coming down. Time to take a few pics.

Umm...New York is on the Coast of the Atlantic....Washington DC is on the Coast of the Atlantic...Chicago is on the coast of Lake Michigan, all three as close to large areas of water as San Fransisco is close to the Pacific.

When the snow comes for you, the water wont save you

It's gorgeous out there right now. I slept in until 11 (usually up about 8:30am on Saturdays for work), rolled out of bed, saw my nieces & nephew playing in their back yard so got all suited up & went out there with them for abuot an hour. Now I'm back inside finishing off the left-overs of last night's baked spaghetti & getting ready for the VCU/ODU game this afternoon at 4.

You sure did, but if you remember you didn't take me up on my offer to buy you a beer when you passed through.

I just heard from Brian Crenshaw that they had to close Combat Sports Centre due to bad weather (well, closed in terms of regular activites, but obviously open in terms of MMA fighters...because I also heard Michael Goodman who was going to fight on 13th broke his nose in training and now cant fight afterall

You will remember. coz you met Michael Goodman in passing, when I was interviewing Anthony Morrison :w00t:

It's no problem, I would've bought you a different beverage though. Anyway, it's all good.

Snow is still falling heavily. It has bent branches that are over my rooftop down to the ground.

Beautiful!

Thanks! I have been taking pictures all day. I'll load them up later and give the link to them. I'd go outside off my porch to take some but it's at least 18 inches deep out there and I don't feel like going out in it when it's toasty warm inside. It has just about stopped at this point and it is wonderfully white out there.

We got over 2 feet. Our record on history is 30" in 1996. This is the 2nd biggest snowfall we've had since they've been keeping track. It's crazy. Over my knees in a lot places. Hard to walk through it.

:) Having lived in SoCal, it is a nice change when I can look at it from indoors. Working in it now is a different story, that sucks big time. I'll load up some more pics later in the day if I can get to it before the Super Bowl starts.

County Mike, where do you live?

We have about 28 inches here too. Amazing! And it was so pretty.......and I have a bird feeder right outside my kitchen window and all the birds were coming to feed......it was/is beautiful!

But BLINDING!!!!!!!! Right now I am wearing sunglasses in my den because it's so sunny and the glare from the snow is hurting my eyes!!!!!

I guess we all live around the same area.....if we are the only ones who got the snow! Although "around the same area" is a pretty BIG area!

I wonder if Crisco got any snow where he is!

School was closed again today. That makes our 4th snow day this year. And more snow coming Tuesday into Wednesday! :scared0011:

We got quite a bit of snow here in Decatur, IL. Had to shovel just to get to my car this morning. Roads are terrible.

Chris is out in Hawaii, remember? Lucky little twerp. :muttering:

Last week, my brother (a Physics teacher) only had 3.5hrs of school: Closed Monday-Wednesday, 2hr delay Thursday, closed again Friday. As another teacher friend of mine put it: 2010 - the least-educated graduating class in over a decade!!

oh yeah! Hawaii!:w00t:  So he is missing the big dig out! :ninja:twerp!

Yeah it's coming down again here! No school again. Probably not tomorrow either. We are expecting 14-18 inches.

At least the snow blower is getting used. It sat in the shed for the last 5 years.
