Ever notice how these natural disasters seem to happen more often in areas where crime runs rampant?

Just saying.

"Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Recent development efforts have suffered severe setbacks because of political violence, lawlessness, corruption and natural disasters. "

Even more reason to pray for those people.

They have pretty good coverage of this on Fox News and it is just heartbreaking. I know crime is high there but the thousands of children and infants that died there today are still innocent. Im really suprised by the lack of compassion. I will be praying for those people, as a nation and as human beings. I just cant imagine digging my child out of one grave to have to put her in another. Its a sad day..........

What a horrible feeling earthquakes are

Dogs arent the only animals that feel it coming.Birds will start chirping, cats will start walking around suddenly.Herds of whatever will start running...If you see a herd of cows running by get under a frame:laugh:

I flew into Mexico the day after the huge Earthquake in the 90's. When I got to the condo I felt another one coming and it was one the scariest moments in my life. Turned out it was only aftershocks.

My heart goes out to these people.

Sometimes the after shocks are worse then the original earthquakes! :scared0011:I flew into Mexico the day after the huge Earthquake in the 90's. When I got to the condo I felt another one coming and it was one the scariest moments in my life. Turned out it was only aftershocks.

I noticed that iTunes has a link setup to enable donations. I think I'll use that route.

Back in 2005, the year of Katrina and Rita, there was a lot of suffering by some good people here in Louisiana. I don't care much for New Orleans and after Katrina I'll admit I thought "they" deserved it. Not exactly proud of that thought. Yeah I feel conflicted about this.

At my school we let students in late from the New Orleans area so they could continue to work on their degrees. Several from that area had to stay here for an extended period. The locals rose to the occasion and several of the evacuees decided to stay. Kind of proud of that.

I have family that live in the hurricane zone, and during Gustav my home had six more occupants than usual. I was glad to do it.

So for the earthquake victims Ill do what I can. I know my church has some relief efforts planned.
