lol - Michelle's approval ratings have gone up while her husbands has been going down, that's pretty funny. Anyways, I just wikipedia'd him, I thought he was Muslim but apparently he's a Sikh (didn't even know what that was until now). He also ushered in the privatization and democratic reforms when he was finance minister that has made India a global player.
Kind of interesting.

Oh that's a good point, India is majority hindu's.

yup .. .lots of countries do though, and with a billion peeps, that's a lot of mouths to feed ... they have some of the richest people in the world ... a very large disparity between the rich and poor

That is actually not true man:) See there are two titles. President and Prime Minister. The President is the head of state, and appoints a Prime Minister.
A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was the President from 2002-2007.
Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed was the President from 1974-1977
Mohammad Hidayatullah was elected vice president and served as acting president in 1969, and was also the first cheif justice....
Alot of my family is from India... :)

Well actually:
'hindi' is a language that is spoken by people mostly of the Hindu Religion. There is no lanauge called muslims. :)
