But his approval rating continues to spiral downward. Liberals must be beside themselves with fear that their messiah is slipping drastically in the polls :happydancing:

Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-two percent (52%) disapprove.

EVER.

and there is no way Obama's approval is lower then Bush's dude had like a 20% rating.

The key here is at this point in his Presidency. After only 11 months in office, Bush Jr.'s approval rating was around 86%.

he came into a better situation, sure 9/11 was bad, but the economy and country were running well when he took office, in order to get a high approval rating all you have to do is not screw everything up....In Obama's situation, you have to turn everything around overnight to get a high approval rating...I'm not taking Obama's side, don't like either one of them at all tbh, but just pointing out how its different for the two of them

Actually, Bush's approval rating skyrocketed almost 40 points after 9/11 and I believe that he still holds the record for the highest Presidential approval rating since they've been recording approval ratings. So, to be fair, much of his 86% approval from December 2001 was likely just falloff from his over 90% approval from September 2001.

Here's a really confusing chart, but it gives you the overall trend of Bush's job approval:

he handled 911 really well, at that time we needed someone to step up and speak of uniting together, and he did that...if he had just stuck with that in his presidency he wouldn't be so hated, his last 5 or so years of his presidency is when he fell so drastically

i don't think so.....

would you rather take over coaching the detroit lions or the indy colts.

I don't think i could do much worse with the lions, in fact if i won less than half the games i should still get a pretty good approval rating,

but according to your logic, all i would have to do with the colts would set it on cruise and i would keep winning....

i'm pretty sure no one would care if i turned the lions around overnight, obama had a chance to be a hero and he has done the impossible... he made it worse!!!!!

Well, I don't believe that George W. Bush really had anything to do with all the George W. Bush hatred that seemed to possess this country during the last few years of his Presidency.

I want to say that that was all Left-Wing propaganda and manipulating of the American people, but I believe there was a lot more to it than that behind the scenes.

I'll be honest I don't like him, but I don't watch any news channels, so I don't know how the left-wing propaganda got to me...I think alot of the dislike has to do with his public speaking, he's not an idiot, but he isnt' the best public speaker and he gives off that impression at times.....I already know your answer to this, but I'm gonna ask anyway, do you think right-wing propaganda has effected the level of enormous hate for Obama?

I think that is a great example of closed-mindedness and bigotry on the part of Liberals. Any conservative with a southern accent is automatically considered to be stupid. The fact that Bush is from Texas didn't help elitist Liberals like him either.

I already know your answer to this, but I'm gonna ask anyway, do you think right-wing propaganda has effected the level of enormous hate for Obama?

No, I think ignoring the will of the American people and steering this country down a left-wing road is what is hurting him. Obama is our employee, it's not our job to support him, it's his job to listen to and support us.

I agree in a sense, but i don't think it has much to do with his accent and more with the mispronunciation of words and that kind of smirk he had when he was thinking of what to say...He just didn't have a powerful speaking voice, and that weighs heavily in fickle people

Well the Colts have a new head coach this season and they are 12-0. So if they go undefeated and win the Super Bowl his rating would be better then Dungy and is 4 to 1 win to loss ratio and his 1 SB win.

Besides the Lions lost every game last year and this year at least won 2 so far. So do you think they have a high approval rating, or do you think they would be hated and blamed for not having a 8-4 record?
