Just thought I would share this....but I will warn you guys that the video is pretty graphic...

Charla Nash, the woman who had her hands and face ripped off by a Gorilla earlier this year appeared on Oprah today and revealed herself for the first time since the attacks.

It's a shame. Definitely praying for her.

How a person could survive something like that is truly a miracle.

I think I would rather die...

I'd imagine at some point, I'd of been praying to God to just take me and end the misery. That's just indescribable

JB I'm glad you made this thread. I actually taped the show and watched it tonight.

It was horrific listening to that 911 call and hearing the paramedics describe what they saw as they walked up to her body and then turned her over.

I agree with Oprah when she said that when you listen to Charla you start to see her tremendous spirit and aren't just seeing her face.

I absolutely hate that this happened to her. I think it is a blessing she cannot remember the attack and I pray she never will. I hope and pray she is able to have the hand transplant she wants when she gets the face transplant. Just because she cannot see does not mean she can't benefit from having hands.

I hope people get the message Charla is trying to teach us by showing her face and what has happened to her: wild animals are not meant to be "companions" or pets for us.
