It's funny, because I have my mixing headphones on right now from working on a song, and I clicked on your link and forgot how loud the volume was turned up from what I was previously listening too. Needless to say, that girl scared the crap out of me, literally.
She does have an awesome voice. Excellent control, and perfect pitch. I have always wished I could sing on that level, but I am not a good singer at all, that's why I sing rock music. :)

I just have a tendancy to post country music on here. cause i figure everyone has already heard all the other songs id post like the ones above , but very few of you have ever heard foggy mountain breakdown by flatt and scruggs , or tom t hall for that instance lol . SO i try to post things i think you might not have heard , But dont think thats all i listen to

I got some pretty cool news this morning, and I thought I would share it in this thread...
The recording group/band I started in 2005 launched a brand new website on Monday. In the last 3 days, since the launch of the new site, our rankings on the global charts for "Rock" music on Reverbnation.com has gone up over 8,500 slots.
When broken down, we have gone up over 50 slots in the Phoenix charts in just over 48 hours. Since I last checked, we were sitting at 107 in the Phoenix rankings, but our rate of growth right now is about 10 times that of the average group in the top 100, and that's only 3 days since our new site went live and still at least 3 months before our next cd is going to be finished.
I know the music ain't going to be everybody's thing, but I figured I would share the website anyway since I put as many hours into it as our web-guy has, lol...
Link is in my sig...

We are actually up to 79 as of this morning (they update every day). We could be up in top 20 in the next couple weeks, if not sooner!

I love the old stuff . Its just got a sound that is amazing in my book . There is one imparticualr that the begining just grabs you . it sounds really rough , like you can almost see the garage band from the 50's standing up on stage at the prom doing thier best to get through it lol . But i love it .
Ill see if i cant find it and make an edit to put it in here.

Johnny Cash - "When the Man Comes Around"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10O9kUCAv40
(I love this one by Johnny! Didn't see any video with it I liked so it's just a still pic but I posted the lyrics below.)
And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder: One of the four
beasts saying: "Come and see." And I saw. And behold, a
white horse.
There's a man goin' 'round takin' names. An' he
decides who to free and who to blame. Everybody won't be
treated all the same. There'll be a golden ladder reaching down.
When the man comes around.
The hairs on your arm will stand up. At the terror in each sip
and in each sup. For you partake of that last offered cup, Or
disappear into the potter's ground.
When the man comes around.
Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers. One hundred million angels
singin'. Multitudes are marching to the big kettle drum. Voices
callin', voices cryin'. Some are born an' some are dyin'.
It's Alpha and Omega's Kingdom come.
And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree. The virgins are all trimming
their wicks. The whirlwind is in the thorn tree. It's hard for thee
to kick against the pricks.
Till Armageddon, no Shalam, no Shalom. Then the father hen will
call his chickens home. The wise men will bow down before the throne.
And at his feet they'll cast their golden crown.
When the man comes around.
Whoever is unjust, let him be unjust still. Whoever is righteous,
let him be righteous still. Whoever is filthy, let him be filthy still.
Listen to the words long written down.
When the man comes around.
Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers. One hundred million angels singin'.
Multitudes are marchin' to the big kettle drum. Voices callin', voices cryin'.
Some are born an' some are dyin'. It's Alpha and Omega's Kingdom come.
And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree. The virgins are all trimming their
wicks. The whirlwind is in the thorn tree. It's hard for thee to kick
against the pricks.
In measured hundredweight and penny pound.
When the man comes around.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts, And I looked and
behold: a pale horse. And his name, that sat on him, was Death.
And Hell followed with him.

Antoher country music singer that i dont feel got NEAR the recognition he deserved is Dwight Yokum , He has a TOTALLY different sound than any of the other mainstream artists , His voice just screams Honky Tonk.

Another of my favorite country bands is the Kentucky Headhunters.
I actually got to hang out with these guys for a whole day once when i was in high school . Me and Fred " the drummer" sat ont he tour bus and watched the movie tombstone while i cut out little drummer boys out of old wrapping paper he found at a pawn shop and he glued them to his drums. Then we all got to hang out , me and my brother helped out with the concert and then Fred asked me and Mike to take his drums apart for him . They were all a great bunch of guys , this was around 1995 .
Ha Look in this vid of freds drum solo . On the small drum in the middle . I believe i cut those out , i mean its been alot of years ago , but if i had to bet , those are the same drummer boys that i cut out . Thats awsome

I always tell my friends and family that I am as messed up as I am because of these guys....lol. They were MUCH better stoned then clean.
I am very happy they are all cleaned up now, because they are still around and making music, BUT it is just not as raw, dirty, and raunchy as it was in the 70's and early 80's and that is what made them so damn good.
My all time favorite band to this very day. I don't think there is an Aerosmith album I don't own.....sorry Mom. :)

I've literally just come across these. This is old school mate of mine who I believe has been battling with cancer. He just posted a cover of an Oasis song on facebook and I've been looking through the vids on his youtube channel all evening. Check out his Half The World Away cover - if you like Oasis of course!
Here are some of his own songs. Great stuff!
Tears Mean Nothing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b34eQx1ZRe0
Never Said I'm Sorry - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9R8cknHXtc
I Hope - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfutJBkdx2w ** This is my fave! **

That was absolutely amazing (no pun intended)! The Lord surely blesses some of us with remarkable talent. I've never heard a child that young sing with such control of her voice.
Amazing Grace is one of my favorite songs. :)
Side note: Have you seen/heard Whitney Houston lately....sad....just sad. All that talent....wasted!

I know isn't that just so incredible? If I could do anything it would be to be a great singer. Too bad I suck
And poor Whitney...that's what all those years of drug use does to people. So sad

I would love to have a great singing voice too....but, I suck too!
I didn't know if Whitney was back on drugs or what? She needs to cancel that tour. That Bobby Brown was no good for her or her career. Whitney and Britney....both of them should have stayed single.

Big difference between Whitney and Britney. Whitney used to sound like an angel, Britney used to sound...well, like she still does...a techno or synthesizer machine.

You're spot on about Britney. That's what I never got about her popularity--she really doesn't have a great singing voice like Whitney had or Christina Aguilera and some others . I guess she just "hit" at the right time.
