Well, they've finished the regular season 10-0, finishing the region at 4-0 and ending as 3-0 district champions.

They've scored 543 points those ten games and have allowed a mesely 67 points. Both of these accomplishments are the best in the entire state of Kentucky regardless of class. Fort Campbell is a 2A team in a state that is home to the nationally ranked 5A Highlands Bluebirds, the team that NFL commentator Chris Collinsworth's son plays wide receiver and defensive back.

They enter the postseason as the favorite to win the state championship, but are keeping their head on their shoulders taking one game at a time now.....knowing what lies ahead.

They're my favorite football team! Go Falcons!

That's great news brother! I was wondering if they did anything for Tim this year? A sticker on a helmet? An announcement?

I have no doubt that each and every one of those young men plays just a little bit harder this season  Part of that State title will certainly belong to Tim!!

The whole season is dedicated to Tim....on 11 September the school retired his number (#73) and a memorial was hung in the school. As far as helmet stickers go, they continue to wear the traditional FC logo on one side of the helmet and a TW73 logo on the other.

The opening game of the year was played against a Nashville school, and they gave us a team signed #73 jersey from their team.

Well, they've made it through the first two rounds of the playoffs, they now fact the undefeated Murray Tigers in the third round.

Murray is a team with some big boys on it, but I think that the Falcons speed will quickly negate the size issue.

Go Falcons.

He's my 16 year-old son. He passed away on 29 July of complications due to heat stroke after a football practice.

Thanks. We (my wife & I) do know that he's in a MUCH better place than we are.....we find comfort in that fact. We know that every day down, every time we lay our heads to the pillow......that's one day closer to our reunion with him and our union with our Lord and Savior.

Thanks again.

The Fort Campbell Falcons advanced to their third straight 2A State Championship game tonight, beating the Monroe County Falcons by a score of 30-16.

Winning the game next week will make them the first 2A team in the state to ever win three in a row.

Please check it out, tell me what you think, and if you like to, you can even buy something to help support the team. :)

A small bit of information for the board.

A player, Ethan Strode, on the Monroe County Falcons was involved in a car accident on (or about) 12 DEC 09, he was a junior at the school. He was lifelighted to Louisville where his condition went from critical to serious and progress was made in his recovery, he was even moved into a rehabilitative room within the last week or so.

I received the text this morning that last night, Ethan passed away and went to be with our Lord. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Monroe County High School and a nice young man by all accounts. Please pray for his family to find the peace that passes all understanding and that they find comfort in knowing, what I know.....that they will see Ethan again someday.

Thanks,
Bill

Wow! That looks great Bill! Are you going to wear Tim's?
Kim and I will alternate. She'll wear it around her neck or I'll actually wear it. It's big on me, but if I keep my fingers curled it'll be fine.

We had debated about not wearing this one at all. We were talking with the coach about it and he said that it's a nice ring, a ring that Tim would have worn and showed off everywhere he went. Maybe even talked a little trash. So, we'll wear it.

Funny trash talk story about Tim and rings. After he got his second state ring, we were at our local Japanese steak house. It was me, Kim, Tim, and a few of his friends. There was a young man, about Tim's age that had on a 'Trigg County Football' shirt. Trigg County is one of Fort Campbell's big local rivals. Tim said to the young man, "I like your shirt." Just as the kid was about to respond, Tim held up his fist and said, "...but I like this ring better." All of Tim's friends couldn't believe that he had said that. It was funny. Was it appropriate, humble, sportsmanlike? Probably not, and Tim wasn't really like that.....but Trigg fans hate Fort Campbell and Tim just let it go.

I miss my son, my favorite football player in the world!

 That was a funny story, Bill. I mean, Tim did tell the guy he liked his shirt....first.

I think that's a wonderful idea for you and Kim to share wearing Tim's ring. And if you happen to run into that same young man from Trigg, show off that ring!

Thank you for sharing Tim with us. :)
