View Full Version : internet explorer 8 running slow

Ok , I know i know , switch to fire fox yadda yadda yadda. I like ie , im use to it , i know its functions etc .I want to keep it , anyways

Pc tells me i got updates , so it updates to ie8 , now its slow as mayonaise , youtube stalls out , it sucks. Anybody know of a fix ?

ok , i fixed it , well i guess you could say fixed it .

I uninstalled ie8 and went back to ie7 . Problem solved

Problem is Ms doesn't give a flying fR@#$ about IE, So they release it and take about 2 years to update it or make any improvements for it. Then there is the fact its hard coded into your system and is an easy way to F@# up your system.

FOX is much better with its constantly being updated, it has programs that protect you online which are constantly improved upon.

I haven't installed 8 yet and the stupid computer prompts me to every time I log on. So I am glad that I read your post, Mac. I hate slow computers. IE7 will stay on here for me. And I'm like you, I know it and how to use it. So I keep it.

I'm so glad I'm not the last person using IE . Stick to your guns mac. Downgrading fixed it? good. Try also updating your java and flash. Also clearing out your cache may help some.

ie8 is still in it's early phase thus it has many issues like any other new software would. except ie has always been buggy to begin with. that's why i choose firefox. kid tested, mother approved.
