THe dove field is about half bloomed out , so you can imagine what it will look like in a week . This is the view off of my front porch , as Ms Gabore once said " keep manhattan but gimmie that country side : ha ha ha

Ive mowed walk paths amongst all the flowers for more options on shots and shading.

We are going to be opening this field up for family photos etc in a short time once i get the details worked out so , local folks who want a one time shot at some amazing photos , contact me . You Provide your own Photographer , Or our very own Proffesional photographer Nater will be for hire.

Nate does tremendous photogrophy work . So if any forum members would like to get thier family portraits done in a 7 acre field of sunflowers contact me or Nater for his rates . Very flexible on times.

OK Mac got a silly question for you...

What did you plant the sunflowers for? I don't know anything about farming so I'm trying to figure what you do with them? Do you harvest them for the seeds or are they part of a crop rotation to give the soil a break?

Just something pretty to look at?

You mentioned "the dove field" did you plant them to lure in birds for hunting?

Educate me my dear fellow!

When I look at the pictures I can't help but think of Children of the Corn :-)

did you notice any extra bees around this year? I wonder if bees could make honey from sunflower pollen?

you should do a time lapse of the field for a whole day and watch the heads follow the sun!
