From Matt's blog:

Last week, I went hunting with Texas Trophy Hunters (http://www.ttha.com/) at Rio Bonito (http://www.riobonito.com/) down around the San Antonio area. It will be televised and when I find out the dates, I will let you all know. I shot an Axis Deer with my Bowtech (http://www.bowtecharchery.com/) Guardian and I shot a Auodad Sheep with my Browning (http://www.browning.com/) X-Bolt 300 Win Mag. The Auodad is an incredibly hard creature to hunt. It has a good sense of smell, a great set of eyes, and is very suspicious.

Here are some pictures from the hunt:

I will be going back down to Texas on Friday the 31st at the Houston Hunters Extravaganza (http://www.ttha.com/HuntersExtravaganza/tabid/70/Default.aspx). I'll be there Friday, Saturday and I'll come back Sunday evening. For anybody in the area, maybe I'll see you there. Hanna's birthday was Tuesday (thanks for all the birthday wishes). Aside from that I've been working on my food plots for deer this week. A few are planted already, but I have several that we'll plant in the first part of August.

Everyday, I get scripture sent to my phone, this one has been on my phone for a couple of weeks and I just can't seem to delete it. It's something I look at everyday:
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:3-4)

Hope everybody has a great week and I'll talk to you all later. -matt

You know that scripture has been on my desk at home for a few years now. It was one of 5 scriptures I use to read every day. About two years ago probably now you posts a blog with a few verses and I responded with those 5 I had ... A very timely reminder for me.

Looks like you are having some good fun this summer Matt!! :) Wish I were around to take you through my old stomping grounds of Houston.

Nice shootin' matt!
Where'd you hit them both. Beautiful animals, and that deer is huge.

I noticed that you are shooting a Bowtech, I know that they used to be Christian owned and operated. Are they still? I thought they were bought by Savage. Great bows either way!!!

Too bad, I missed out when he was near again. I still want to get a photo with him and my t-shirt signed, lol.

Houston is about 3 hours from here so maybe I can make it to that.

Proverbs is a fantastic book in the bible. I also have this verse written out on a marker board at home, and I see it every day I'm there :)

Thanks for the blog Matt!

I love this verse as I mentioned in the blog comments because it contains something very close to my moniker "Love and Faithfulness" in Latin, Loyalty and Faith seem to share the same root. Fides (Loyalty) Fidelis (Faithfulness)

"Amor Et Fidelis" is very close to "Amor Et Fides" which is my little motto. They mean practially the same thing :w00t:
