In the latest edition of American History magazine (August 2009) there is a brief article about a dairy farmer in Vassar, Michigan selling his 34 feet by 90 feet, 68-year-old dairy barn for the price of $1. The catch is that the buyer has to be willing to pay the costs of having it dismantled and moved to another location for restoration. I don't know how Mr. Hughes is set for barns on his farm. If he is in need, perhaps someone could hitch up the War Hughes battle tractor and drag the dismantled barn down to Hillsboro for a Matt Hughes Forum, old-fashioned, Amish-style barn-raising?
