:cry: How am I supposed to watch the UFC events now :sad:

They moved from Bravo to Setanta at the end of last year, and as of evening Yesterday Setanta Sports, Setanta One and Setanta Two have gone into Administration and are no longer broadcasting.

This means the UFC dont have a method of delivering their First Centenary to England :blink:

on the other hand...it does mean that I can now reduce my costs by moving to a smaller TV package again :)

this is what the UFC have to say on the matter

UFC ENDS RELATIONSHIP WITH SETANTA SPORTSLondon, England – The Ultimate Fighting Championship(R) organisation has confirmed

it has terminated its agreement with Setanta Sports.

Setanta had been the broadcaster of UFC(R) live events and programming since January 2008.

UFC UK Division President Marshall Zelaznik said: “It was with great regret that the UFC ended its relationship with Setanta. Over the last two years, Setanta has helped the UFC become the biggest indoor sporting event in the British Isles.

“They were the right partner for us at the right time as we continued to build the sport of mixed martial arts and our brand.

“Throughout the last few weeks we have been kept informed of the situation at Setanta and therefore we are in a position to ensure our UK and Eire fans will not miss any of this summer’s huge UFC events, commencing with UFC 100 in July.

“We will be announcing the new home of UFC shortly but assure our fans they won’t miss any of the upcoming super-fights."

And Zelaznik added: “And on behalf of the UFC I want to wish the team at Setanta all the strength to get through what must be very difficult times. We have worked very closely with the entire Setanta team over the past years and wish them the best of luck in the future."

Does anyone know when they are looking to announce who they will be using?

I reckon its gonna be a job to get my new subscription with who ever before UFC 100!

Hopefully it will just go to virgin1 and then I can watch it without any kind of subscription!
The way I see it they dont have many options.

Setanta has gone bust
BskyB Generally deals only with Professional Wrestling (so forget Sky 1, Sky 2 Sky 3 or Sky Sports...I suppose its a possiblity but I dont like their chances...in the United Kingdom they arent big enough for that, not when the WWE struggles to be applicable!)

Virgin one, or Virgin two, Depends greatly on how the ratings for TUF went. Unlike with a lot of things, I didnt see much of a push by Virgin to market the UFC.

Bravo, Bravo two

I think this depends. the problem with Bravo is its a day out of sync with its airing, its also moved on from the UFC, its about to start covering BAMMA (British Association of Mixed Martial Arts...yeah...I'd never heard of it either!) It also largely depends on how the move to Virgin and Setanta was felt by Bravo.

They would go mad over the UFC, They have been on Cage Rage re-runs forever, and recently, as within the last month they started to air Strikeforce also. But they are a bit off the beaten track for the UFC

Really surprised that they're not making more of an issue out of it on the site!

You can bet if spike went bump we'd see it all over the site.

Thats because Setanta served England and Spike Serves America

England has always been treated like a second rate Citizenship to the UFC.

They are an American Company and they are still providing to their major clients. Thats why its not a big thing on their website...Heck, they had a US V UK TUF and thought that the English could wait FOUR DAYS before catching up with the Americans...SO FAR AFTER, that if you were English you wouldnt be able to see the final Semi-Final until ONE HOUR BEFORE the Finale itself.

:laugh: they'll tell us the day before that they were unsuccessful at providing coverage for us over UFC100

So...biazzarely enough is the Woman across the road from my second floor flat. I was minding my own business walking home from the gym this evening and she stopped me and was like "you know I have three daughters and they are all very distressed by your behaviour. We see you do nothing but sit at your window, and then a few weeks ago you got a tripod that seems to be pointing at our house"

I was like "Madam...I sit at my computer by the window that you can see because of the alcoving. I film for youtube under the screen name Pulvaris...and you can tell your Daughters that I do not watch them continuously from across the street...I am not into Women, if you catch my drift"

I said to her that she should have sent me a note and let me know, but she said she didnt want me to feel threatened...but I said to her "If you truthfully felt like your daughters were at risk from a perverted peeping tom, you really shouldnt have waited four years before approaching me about this :blink:

My guess is the Women enjoyed believeing I was watching them until a month or so ago when I got my camera tripod...then they got scared because they thought I was filming them.

I didnt say that to the Mother...but strikes me thats the case...the problem is, My Computer is next to the window facing east, my TV is next to the window facing west...and my Phone, Music and Jens the Budgie are station along the window itself...so...yes...I'm always by the window...and if you were sad enough to watch me as a teenaged girl...I suppose you could possibly missinterpret it and think I was watching you since both the computer and the TV are actually out into the alcove past the direct line of sight through the window, and my phone, music and Jens are all on little tables probably not visable above the window sill.

They also had trouble with me sitting at my computer in my dressing gown...and with no top on, which I only do when I'm reallllllllly hot.

I actually checked this out today...See there is something called public decency...and if you are caught breaking that you can get arrested. However, sitting in your house with no top on is fine...infact I could walk around in the street like that and not get arrested. My Military Friend said

"so long as you're not waving your todger out the open window, your actually under no obligation to change your habits." She also told me, that if the Woman actually writes a note to me...I can claim money from slander and character defacition. :laugh: :laugh:

I could really do with the cash...I hope she sees me and calls the police or writes a note...then I wont need to do a car boot sale.

Yes...but if I close my curtains...I get no air from the open window. :sad:

I need to make the most of the sun, because I suffer from Seasonal effective depression...why should I draw my curtains when im being accused of something that I've never done. If they dont like it..they should shut theres...they are the ones with issues :angry:
