Sorry about that man ... sometimes people without pets don't understand that pets become part of the family .. my dog is nine and cat is over 10, so i know it will be tough when they go and the kids will be heart broken .... hopefully your dog doesn't go throught a lot ... take care man ....

I lost my best friend last year.. he was 16 and it was his time... it still hurts.. If you trust your vet, listen him him.. prolonging suffering because it will hurt you is a dis-service.

It sucks.. it truly does... be there when your pet dies.. they will be comforted and so will you after wards..

I hope all goes well for your pup. If you can, take a pic or two of her so you can remember the good times you have had with her. I just lost one of my favorite pets 3 months ago.

8 years is too old? what breed of dog are we talking about?

I'm sorry to hear this man, I always loved my dogs and these things can be tough to deal with me. for me it always helped to remind myself that they're just animals, they aren't people.

Oh man sorry to hear.

This is why I don't have dogs anymore,
when I was little my dog was run over, I cried for weeks.
