Cagepotato.com (http://www.cagepotato.com/vote-legalize-mma-new-york-postponed) reports that the vote to legalize MMA in NY has been postponed so that committee memebers can focus on budget issues, ie. NY has been hit hard by the finacial crisis and are trying to figure out where to spread the little money they have

Ironically, having MMA in NY would help generate a little bit of revenue for the state, but thats not my decision to make.

But its good that the hearing has been put on hold because now hopefully we can inform some people about MMA.

I'm not sure what kind of weight online petitions hold in these sorts of cases, but an online petition does exist (http://www.petitiononline.com/MMAinNY/petition.html) and we, as MMA fans have been encouraged to sign it.

I was born and raised in Bucks County and went to school in Johnstown and Pittsburgh, I want MMA in PA ASAP. But if NJ, NY and OH allow it... maybe PA will follow
