HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) - April 17, 2009 -- It was a field trip of sorts for high school cheerleaders -- to a male strip club.

Lori Epperson has resigned from her teaching position in southwest Ohio. A Butler Tech school district spokesman says Epperson took four girls to a strip club.

Epperson told school officials she had gotten permission from the parents of the 17- and 18-year-olds to bring them to Club Masque in Dayton.

She says the girls asked her to take them to the bar.

Where the hell were all these cool teachers when I went to school?

Like on South Park when the kindergartener boy was having sex with his teacher. The older brother reported it to the police and the guy said, "Damnit! Where were all these sexed up teachers when I was a kid?" :rotfl:

It's not really funny. A teacher isn't supposed to be buddies with their student, they are supposed to be an educational resource, role model and authoritative figure in that student's profession (which is to BE a student).

Letting her go was the right call. She lacks the kind of character it takes to hold that position.

We know who Mr. Joykill is in this thread.

Hot female teachers and cheerleaders rock. I was one of the dancers at the club. It was a great time.

Point is what's next...for flips sake don't kids have enough goin against them these days??? If you think there's no harm in corrupting young, impressionable minds then you need help.

If you think pornography doesn't hurt you so be it, but as scripture says "It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak." Romans 14:21

But, I guess I'm just not very cool to you...(as if that matters)

I figured as much u were only kidding...however, what concerns me is when Christians say things that are antithetical to scripture within the view of non-saved seekers. It sends a message that is harmful. I am one with sexual struggles. I was exposed to pornography at a young age, and it has been a life long battle for me to overcome since...Satan has been winning that battle for years so when I hear of people taking these things lightly it makes me sad  Especially on this site and in this section.

Annnd like I said, its not like kids don't have enough going against them these days...(what with sexuality and all)

I feel for you and respect your position, but please don't take it so personal. Like I said, it was just a joke, and not in any way me condoning the actions of the teacher. Was I taking it lightly? Yeah, sure, but I guess that is because if I got bent out of shape about every story I read about some crazy people doing crazy things I would not have much time for myself. Again, not to make light of the situation, but what the teacher did is not the worst thing I have heard of. So, if my joke was offensive I apologize.

We all have personal demons, at times I find that being able to laugh at our faults makes it easier to deal with them and make a change. Nobody likes being the butt of their own joke for very long.

No worries bro, I wasn't offended, you're a good guy I can tell. The only thing is tho I will say is that when you make light of something serious you are making it light in someone's eyes...maybe not yours, but young, impressionable eyes. The Bible teaches that "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea." Mark 9:42

I'm guilty of being a poor role model myself, so I'm not sitting on a high horse, but this site has been a refuge of sorts for me so maybe I'm being protective to a point of its content. We can exercise our Christian morals here without being judged for them.

Stop making me feel so guilty! :tongue0011:

Making light of something is not always a bad thing, and it's not always going to result in the corruption of child. While the scripture is clear in it's message and I do not refute the passage, I also don't think it's fair to say that I am going to be responsible for leading any children astray in this world with my very mild joke.

But, I will not say I am the best role model in this world either, not at all.

No, not really.

If a child makes his or her way into this thread and is able to comprehend the topic, then they can comprehend the sarcasm. My joke would not be what corrupted them, because that would have already been done if they don't know right from wrong.

Your point is well taken, but it's still a stretch, especially at this point considering it's been discussed at length that it was a joke.

Ya, like anyof us did'nt have stuff going against us when we were teenagers. As teenagers I'm sure everyone here was just a 'Saint' and did no wrong we did everything our parents said we should do:Whistle:
Well, least they were of legal age to see that stuff and she did'nt bring any young'ins in. Though I'm not sure what the legal age is in her state..Would u feel any different if a Male teacher took his students to a female strip club?
Is it wrong? Kindof sort of ya I guess..Does it warrent her to get fired? No..if parents agreed to this to me its all good...Now did she do this on school time or her own time :happydancing:

Sheltering children hurts them in the long run.
