We knew it was coming, and he just announced it.

Thanks for the memories Oscar! Sucks to see him go, but it is time.

Was it the pantyhose and lipstick that got to you?

Cuz I thought he was one hell of a boxer, that is until PBF showed him what's up.

LOL..I just never really cared for him. Don't get me wrong he had his moments of glory. I am still mad over the Vargas vs DeLaHoya fight..They gave it to him when he clearly lost. But hey thats the way the cookie crumbles.

I knew it was something else. I could sense you had some anger for a judge somewhere in there. Besides, it's not like we actually know it was Oscar dressed in drag

Really, DLH was never my favorite, but I do respect his skills and what he has done for Boxing. He is a legend for sure.

Tyson was the man when he was young, but my favorite boxers of all time are Roy Jones Jr. , Lennox Lewis, and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

PBFjr has my respect as a boxer but I just can't get behind him with his ghetto fabulous attitude. I hate that crap.

You gotta be able to look past that sometimes :)

I think that's why I have always been a a hip hop fan even when I was running around the desert with hair down to my ass, partying with rednecks, and jamming with a country band. Floyd JR is a direct product of his upbringing. Everybody has their style, and Floyd's style fits him well. He may talk trash, but he is still a good person and respectful where it counts.

huh? what fight are you talking about? Vargas was on roids and still got his ass stopped by DLH ... nothing was given in that fight, oscar took it with authority .. unless you are talking about another fight ....

no, that is cool, and if it went the distance and she thought vargas, won, she can think that, but when a fight gets stopped you can't really say that the fight was given to anyone ... i

No, you are right. DLH stomped Vargas, but I think I had a major brain fart. I think she meant to reference DLH's fight with PBF and I think that threw me off.

Sorry, it's been a long week.

I think she is just a Vargas fan... :) Its kinda complicated I am not really a fan, but its kinda something most people won't understand. They went 11rounds some of the rounds were given to Oscar that were not IMO worthy. Once again I can predict responses to my post already. lol. Amusing  ....I have an uncle who is a known boxing referee and we have debated over this for hours.. lol! He was even on Oscars boxing show.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I got nothing but love, but Vargas did get stopped. It was clear. DLH had his ticket, and he punched it.

Stopped or not it wasnt a TKO..Obviously we know the outcome and truth is the fight was not such a stomp on Oscars part. Anyways like I said im not a big ol' Vargas lover, but I guess its a Cali thing for me not liking DLH.

the thing was that we knew vargas was the bigger fighter and was going to use his size early ... if dlh could weather the storm, vargas would probably gas .. so early vargas was doing good and when he got tired dlh took over and it was done ... good fight though ...

He was a great fighter, but clearly it was time. The Pacman just ate him up and Oscar looked like a shell of his former self. I just hope je has enough money to retire on :)
