Just born yesterday, two new baby goats out at the farm:

These two baby goats were born last Wednesday, along with two others who I didn't get a picture of.

Going from cute to ugly, Mark also had some more snapping turtles that he had caught, these ones were pretty big and, since I had my telephoto lens, I was able to get much closer than anyone really should in real life:

Yup you are right, goats, horses, cows, and other livestock with wide spaced eyes can see almost 360 around them to protect them from predators, or at least, when they were wild probably before people domesticated them 5000-7000 years ago. At least that is teh bibically based thought.

Goats are awesome animals though, they are super smart and their milk and cheese tastes good.

Well, the goats are Mark's and I'm not sure what their ultimate purpose is. Right now the only thing they are producing is more goats. :laugh:

I think they help keep the land clean by eating up dead leaves, twigs and overgrown grass.

Yes you can get Goats Milk, and you can also make Goats Cheese from the milk. dont forget you could not only essentially eat that, but also sell that. Then you could breed the Goats and sell the children, or rear them so you got bigger supplies of cheese and milk...

I suspect you can probably eat Goat meat to :laugh:
