I assumed Tyburn but maybe it is for you. How would you karate chop your way out of THAT hold?

Karate isn't just "chops".

Hopefully I would never get in that hold, but if I should..

Right hand straight into the pit, fingertips solid...

if possible, grab the muscle closest to the chest.. and squeeze..

But that is against the rules.

turning his head in to the person choking him didn't seem to be possible, was pretty tight.. chin down seems to be out also..

He could have left "C stepped" behind and went forward. The guy choking him has a higher center of gravity. If his left leg was forward.. twist counter clockwise.. right leg forward push off his right leg to the weak side of the stance.

That would have taken him down, but he'd still be in the choke.

Feet on hips and push up might have been enough to loosen the hold, but it was pretty tight. I think he was pretty done for once it got locked in.

That would have taken him down, but he'd still be in the choke. Hmmm, true, but he'd be in side control on top. What if he pull Kesa Gatame (Scarf Hold) and tried to leverage himself backwards to break the choke? Not saying it'd necessarily work, just spit-balling.

Kesa Gatame:

He hopes he would be in side control on top. Most likely, if I have a head/arm choke on someone that tight and they try to trip me backwards, I'll be able to turn them on the way down and AT LEAST land on our sides and be able to maintain control - probably taking the mount right after landing.

He's screwed!

it's for Tyburn. remember how when you first got here, you talked about how submissions were so meaningful? you like to see the faces of the fighter as he was locked in a hold? i figured this one was better since he didn't even tap but fell asleep instead.

 are you talking about an Ikonograph :ninja:

Its like what Barthes once wrote. The perfect Ikon of torture, which is actually what the crowd wants to see. How many times have you watched a fight hoping for the perfect Knock Out for example?

Submissions are more violatory however, because they dont just cause a split second body based reaction which the guy on the receiving end cant help displaying.

I probably waffled on about Nietzschean power discourse philosophy

 I'm like that

looks a lot like what Jardine was doing to Forrest. both Jardine and Evans are Jackson fighters. maybe they were too slippery and Forrest couldn't get a hold of them?
