she's spins left or right, depending on what side of your brain you are using.

That's cool. I could close my eyes and imagine her going in the other direction, then when I open them - she is.

She only spins one way for me too. I think maybe it proves that we have one track minds.

No way that's an optical illusion. She only spins clockwise.

County Mike
04-07-2009, 01:24 PM
She spins both ways. If you use more of your brain, you can see it.

Close your eyes.
Imagine her spinning the other way.
Open your eyes.
Works for me - both directions.

Hey I got it. I was staring at her feet and she changed directions.

County Mike
04-07-2009, 02:16 PM
Now the new test is to see if you can make her go back and forth, so she never turns her back to you. I just got that but sometimes she makes a full turn even when I'm trying not to let her. My right-brain/left-brain coordination is getting better.

HOLY CRAP!!! If you scroll down so you can only see her from the knees dow she will start spinning the other way. then scroll up and miraculously she's moving the other way. now to try mike's second challenge.

Me too, but I didn't say anything because I was afraid it would get deleted.

Now, to keep the image on the current page:
http://i23.tinypic.com/2nbwnyg.jpg

For me, if I focus on just her legs it's easier to control. If I focus on her head it's hard to stop her from spinning all the way around.

I saw her going the other direction but I think it is timed because I can't make her switch with my mind.

County Mike

It took me a while, but I got her to spin the other way too! They're right--it's staring at the feet/legs that does the trick.

I can make her change directions. At first I couldn't, but now I can if I blur my eyes and slightly cross them for a moment.

EDIT: Actually I think every time it reloads the graphic it changes it now that I have looked at it again. And here I thought I had absolute mind control.

I posted this on another forum and people went nuts. Some of them swore it was on a timer and changed directions. One guy made this file to help show how the illusion works. You can't mentally change the direction of the ones with the stripes but you can see that the image itself ALWAYS changes the same way.

This is the only way I could break down the change in direction, original image still goes in one direction even though I know it goes both ways.

That's just a bold faced lie!Not at all. At first I would look at either the left or the right one for a sec & the middle would obey, but now I can stare at the center & get left & right to obey.

Me too. It's wierd.
The way it works for me is if I look in between the 1st and 2nd without focusing on them directly, they spin clockwise. When I look between the 2nd and 3rd without focusing on them directly, they spin counterclockwise.

It's strange, but cool.

Thanks Mike!
