Knee Injury Update

Last Wednesday, I went in for my second MRI and also a stress x-ray. It all came back very positive and looks as though I will not need surgery. I still have to go back for my three month check-up to find out more; but as of right now I can do more and start exercising a little bit. Right now, I’m headed down to Louisiana for an alligator hunt with Knight Rifles. I’ll tell you how that went next week. I promised this video a couple weeks ago. It’s kind of small and hard to see what’s all going on, so we’ve tried to make it bigger; but that just seemed to make it too fuzzy. Let me know if it’s too difficult to see what’s happening:  The United Way event, on Thursday evening, went really well. We just went through our normal practice and everyone got to be a fly on the wall and observe. So here are some photos from that practice:

Great news about your knee, Matt! Looks like you put some hurt’n on those boys at your United Way event. You’ll be right next door to Texas my home state but I have my paternal side of the family over in cajun country. Uh, by the way, you were planning on wrestlin’ a gator, right, not shootin the poor thing.

Glad to hear you won’t need surgery. I’m sure that’s a huge relief for you. Be careful in Louisiana - Tropical Storm Gustav is raging. Good luck with the hunt and hope to see some pictures of your “kill”.

Hey Matt, I didn’t know about T.S. Gustav when I kidded you about “wrestling gators” in Louisiana. Hope you’re able to get your gator and get back home before Gustav gets here in the Gulf. Good luck and God speed to you and your friends.

It was a pleasure to meet and hunt with you both in LA, you are both fine outdoorsman and true gentleman.
However, ya’ll left a little early. I think we saw a 11′8″ reptile out on verrett this afternoon. “your knight could have smoked him”

Great to hear the good news about your knee matt. well man i cant wait to see hughes vs serra fight hopefully comming up.Teach that elf(matt serra) a lesson how to fight and hurt him real bad and make elf leave ufc he is a disgrace.

Glad to hear the good news. Hope to see you destroy Serra. Unfortunately I don’t think that you will be shooting much gator down here this weekend, you know with this storm and all. Anyway gotta go man, its time to evacuate and move to higher ground so that I can watch all my stuff get destroyed. Hope to see you win man, it would really bring my spirits up… Later Ya’ll

Coming from a bloke who has just now been introduced to UFC from a mate !! Neither of us know each other but to me you seem to be a champion wether you win or beaten by potentially a better opponent on the night !!! You give credit to your opposition !!!! To me that makes a true champion in any sport what-ever the discipline !! Am addicted to it now so hope to see you back in the Octagon soon !!The sport needs characters like yourself and if you ever come to Aussie ,come to Perth !! I’ll be there , BB
