Robbie on CBS

Robbie had a fight Saturday night on CBS. I was unable to be there live due to prior commitments, but I watched it on TV and Robbie looked great. Really the first round he tried to figure out what his opponent was going to do, and the second round was like Robbie knew everything was going to happen before it did. One of the best things Robbie did was when he had a chance to end the fight he did. Congrats to Robbie Lawler and the HIT Squad gym. I had to go to Maine to do a prior commitment, but I had a great time I met some good people. Missy and Nate treated me great and the people in the area were very nice. It’s good to go places and hear ‘pleases’ and ‘thank yous’ and an occasional ‘yes sir/no sir.’ Maine is far away from the South but definitely has a touch of southern hospitality. Finally, I wanted to say thanks to Jeremy Schoemaker and David Dellanave and everyone else at Shoemoney. These guys host my website, as well as the HIT Squad website, and they do a lot to keep the site safe from hackers and just making sure that it stays online 24-hours a day. On top of all that, they also run their own MMA website, Fighters.com, so be sure to check that out for all the latest MMA news. -matt |

Congrats to Robbie. He really knew how to push the action after he got cut. Robbie didn’t want to take any chances with a cut stoppage and he ended the fight quickly. Robbie is Top 3 at middleweight.

Hey Matt! It’s Missy (aka Mandy).
Nate & I wanted to say thanks again for coming, we had a GREAT day with you, and the fair had a record weekend! It was awesome getting to meet you and learn more about you, as a person. Not only are you a great fighter, you’re also a nice guy outside the ring. All of the fair members were very impressed with your attitude and how nice you treated every person that approached you, whether it be the first in line or the last.
It was a bonus to watch Robbie’s fight with you in the room. It makes it even more exciting and we’ll be rooting you and all the guys from HIT Squad on in the future.
We hope to see you again, whether it be here in Maine, or if we end up in Kentucky.
Talk to you soon!
Have some “Sweet Tea” for us!

Hello Matt,
thank you for your visit to Maine. My son was one of the Team Kicks USA members who entertained the crowd prior to your arrival. He presented you with the Maine Agriculture hat and shirt when you signed an autograph (I hope it fits and you liked it). Both my sons where very impressed and happy to meet you.
Kudos for your showing everyone how a fighter /celebrity should treat his fans and interact in a positive light with the public. you’re a credit to your sport sir.

Lawler looked great in this fight. Scott Smith is a tough guy, but he just doesn’t have the same skill level as Robbie. I knew it was just a matter of time. Congrats to the HIT Squad!

Was a great fight.. I would have thought that Scott would have given Robbie a bigger test….
Shows what training with H.I.T. Squad does for you.
