Matt,
I have been a long time fan of yours. Our backgrounds have alot of similarities, and I was just wondering if you would be signing autographs at the dallas expo? I live in Austin and have always wanted to meet you.

Hey Matt, just wanted to say "thanks" also for the inspirational emails you share. I'm a new fan (past few months). Just a little background: I happened to catch TUF 7 a few months ago and decided to go back and rent all the TUFs. I wanted to see the coaches' fight from TUF 1 (Randy & Chuck) which was on UFC 52. I stayed up trying to get through the whole DVD so I was up through the wee hours until my husband woke up at 5 a.m. So I'm watching it and here's this guy, Matt Hughes, being choked out (or so it seems) by Trigg and all of a sudden he's out of the choke, has picked Trigg up and is running across the cage and slamming him down. I was like, "wha... wait a minute...what just happened?" Everything happened so fast I had to rewind it to catch when you turned out of the choke and somehow lifted Trigg up. And then I rewound it several more times just to watch you carry him and slam him down. It was AMAZING!!! My heart was pumping just watching it on video so I can only imagine how pumped up you were. So my husband wakes up (5 a.m.) and I'm like, "you've got to come see this guy".

Up to this point, I had only seen TUF 1 and UFC 52 and planned on renting the other UFCs. But after I saw you, I told my husband, "okay, forget all these other UFCs for now, just get me all of the ones with this guy, Matt Hughes". So I've seen UFC 45-79 so far and my favorites of those have been your two "Trigg" fights. Both of those were AMAZING! I'd love to see your two Carlos Newton fights especially when you first won the belt but unforturnately I haven't been able to find any that go back that far.

I bought your book a couple of months ago and have enjoyed it very much especially your stories about you and your twin, Mark. I'm a twin also. I was laughing so hard when reading some of the stuff y'all got into and had to call my twin sister and share it with her. I had her laughing (long-distance). Anyway, Matt, I just wanted to let you know that you have One More Fan and that:

"I Believe"...that a total stranger can make you stop and look at your life and INSPIRE you to become so much more than you ever thought you could be.

God Bless!

Thanks for sharing that email. I haven't checked your site in a while. I've been a huge fan ever since you kicked BJ's ass. haha I still love that fight. You always have something interesting on your blog. I think that even after you retire from the sport (hopefully NOT soon) we will all still be interested in what's going on in your life.
Great Quote:
I Believe… That you can keep going long after you think you can’t.

And because I never left a message before, just wanted to say thanks for all the awesome fights! Can't wait to see you fight again.
