Well, first off, happy Fathers’ Days to all the dads out there.
I’m getting an MRI on my knee this afternoon. I’m not sure if I’ll get the results today or not, but I’ll keep you all updated.
On Saturday, we had the annual Golden Grille Challenge here in Hillsboro. Mark and I entered as team ‘2 Brothers.’ I made pulled pork and Mark made ribs. Had a great time and ended up winning the Peoples’ Choice award. Jeff and Cary Eisentraut (the owners of the local Orpheum Theater) got Judges’ Choice and Carl and Donna Reynolds won the Showmanship Award. Here are some photos from that:

It looks like its hard for you to muster a smile, hope you are doing and feeling ok. Corn around here is going to have to kick it in the ass to make knee high by the 4th of July!

Congrats on the Peoples’ Choice Award. Any word on the MRI results? How’s the knee?

Hey Matt,
I hope that your crops aren’t being affected by all the rain. I was wondering if maybe the UFC could do something to help the farmers in the mid west, being that their all time greatest fighter (that would of course be you) is a midwestern farm boy himself.
Just a thought.
Hope all is well.

Matt-
The best of luck with your knee, I hope everything works out for the best. I just wanted to say that I have been viewing the clips you’ve put up of training at the HIT squad camp. It’s inspirational to see someone of your level and experience coaching beginners and being humble enough to roll like anyone else. If I’m ever in the US I would absolutely love to pay a mat fee and do a training session with you guys.
One question I wanted to ask is that you’ve alluded to seeing gaps in Anderson Silva’s game on occassions. I was wondering if you could elaborate on what aspects of his game that you think would allow an opening. Do you think that a superior wrestler could take advantage of his preference for striking in the clinch?
best regards
Rory
