H.I.T. Squad Grand Opening

As everybody knows, Saturday was the Grand Opening of my new gym, H.I.T. Squad. Had a great time and I was very happy with the turnout and with all the PR we had. We had a couple of TV stations and two radio stations there, along with magazines and newspapers and I believe a couple of websites were there as well. I gave two demonstrations at around 1 PM and 3 PM and had a good time doing that. Just trying to show people what we will be offering and also show them what type of atmosphere they can expect. And by that I mean that I think people will be getting a great workout in and have a smile on their face doing it. I know the pro-shop sold out of all small and medium shirts. I don’t know the number of memberships we sold, but the gym starts tomorrow and I’ll be down there tomorrow night. I was very happy to see so many forum members there. After the grand opening we went out to my farm and sat around a bonfire and chatted. It was good to finally be able to put faces to the names. We’re going to post some pictures here, for more pictures go to the forums. Like I said before, business starts tomorrow and for those of you who have joined the gym I’ll see you tomorrow night. -Matt

Congratulations on the opening of your gym. I am sure it will be a fantastic place to train. Wish it was closer.

Matt: I made the trip from the Quad Cities to Granite City for the Grand Opening (Nice Place). I am a small show fighter training out of Clinton, Iowa (Just North of Pats) not trying to make a living but for the competion and the enjoyment. I am in the area often I drag race at Gateway International all summer and was interested in making the HIT squad a regular stop while in town. Do you offer day passes? I considered a memebership but being in town only a couple days a month I decided against it. Would love the opportunity to roll on the camo in Granite City! Thanks for your time and it was a pleasure to attend the Grand Opening! PS: I liked the put the pants on one leg at a time quote, I had the opportunity to meet Michael Jordan once and he made the same quote, I hadn’t heard it since!

Matt,
I wish that I could have made it this weekend, my boys were both sick and the drive would have been too much for both of them. I will get there sometime to see the gym though. Again, Congratulations!!!

Matt, Congratulations on the gym opening and the big turn out. My wife and I, along with some other family members, made the trip to Granite City for the opening. We all had a great time. The gym looks great. Getting to meet you, Mark Fiore, Matt Pena, Robbie Lawler, and Tommy Speers all in one day was a great experience. Everyone was nice and down to earth. It was good to see that the H.I.T Squad took time to talk to everyone and give autographs and pictures. All in all, we had a great experience. Wish i would have known about the bon fire, but we had to leave around 2:00. My 4 year old nephew who came with us kept talking about “the fighting place” and wondered where Matt Hughes was when we got home. God Bless and good luck with the gym.
