Well, I’m back in Hillsboro and I could not be happier. The book tour was fun, don’t get me wrong, but my home and family is my top priority. We ended the tour in Georgia, which was great. I love the South and the Southern people. It was almost like being in the Midwest! Special thanks to Corey and his soon-to-be-fiancee Rachel! Now I’ll let my coauthor Michael Malice run his last bit of pics with commentary.

Michael Barrett is actually a catcher. When he was with the Cubs, he actually got into a little scuffle with Carlos Zambrano in the dugout. That happened a couple seasons ago. Maybe we’ll be seeing Barrett enter the octagon at some point? I actually think that Zambrano got the better of the exchange if memory serves correct. So, maybe Barrett should consider signing up for some training at the H.I.T. Squad!

Congratulations to Matt and Michael for a very successful book tour. I’m sure it was a memorable experience for the both of you. I was lucky enough to get to meet matt and michael when they were in Georgia at Discover Mills Mall in Books-a-million. Matt is a very nice and down to earth Christian guy who just happens to be the greatest champion the ufc has ever seen. My wife and I were excited that we got to meet matt and get some pictures and autographes. We will be making the 9 hour drive from the atlanta, ga. area to granite city for the gym opening, and i cannot wait for that. Looking forward to the demonstrations and to seeing everyone. God Bless.

That’s great that the book was such a great success. I know that it was definitely a success for me. I finished it last week and couldn’t do much of anything else with my free time. I loved reading about how you climbed the ladder in the UFC and especially how you humbled yourself just a few years ago and decided to transform your life to alig nalign it with the will of God. For me, it was a chance to look into the life of a UFC champion, and more importantly, witness first hand how a hero of mine became the person that I look up to. Congrats on the success and thanks for everything, Matt!

Matt,
I just finished your book. It was a page turner for sure. It sounds like you had a basic, mid-western, farm-boy, upbringing. I grew up in Kansas myself, and I was surprised that we had even been to some of the same places, though at different times I’m sure.
I have to admit that the book wasn’t exactly what I expected, but it was still a good read. I also have to admit that I had thought that you were the strong one in the Hughes family, now I know its really your wife.
Thanks for sharing, and God bless.

I read your book,it was great! It blew my mind and my heart when I read my name!
Thank you some much for mentioning me in your book.
Your book was a lot less depressing than Jens Pulvers book….
